Combine Harvester Manufacturing in the US - Industry Market Research Report
Combine Harvester Manufacturing
The Combine Harvester Manufacturing industry has experienced severe declines. According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), farm incomes have been declining, causing crop producers to rely more on cash reserves and debt to finance ongoing operations. These conditions, combined with rising interest rates, poor export conditions and oversupply have weakened demand for industry products because farmers are finding it increasingly difficult to justify the capital spending on new equipment, especially when repairs and maintenance can be performed to extend the lifespan of owned equipment. However, the industry is expected to return to growth as demand for industry products picks up in line with a projected increase in the agricultural price index.
This industry manufactures combine harvesters. Combines, also known as threshers, combine the tasks of harvesting, threshing and cleaning grain crops. They are primarily used in the harvesting of field crops, but also small fruits and other food crops. This industry excludes hay and straw combine harvesters.
This report covers the scope, size, disposition and growth of the industry including the key sensitivities and success factors. Also included are five year industry forecasts, growth rates and an analysis of the industry key players and their market shares.
