Clothing Retailing in the UK - Industry Market Research Report

Clothing Retailing in the UK

Clothing retailing revenue is forecast to fall at a compound annual rate of 2.4% over the five years through 2023-24 to £43 billion. The industry has mainly boomed thanks to the dramatic increase in photos and videos posted online, fast, affordable fashion and the introduction of credit and financing services like buy-now-pay-later platforms that have allowed consumers to manage household budgets better.

Clothing retailers source clothing from wholesalers or manufacturers and sell them to consumers. Most industry participants sell goods from one or more retail stores and often operate an online portal as well. The industry does not include enterprises that only operate online. Although accessory sales are covered, shoe sales are not.

This report covers the scope, size, disposition and growth of the industry including the key sensitivities and success factors. Also included are five year industry forecasts, growth rates and an analysis of the industry key players and their market shares.
