Air Purification Equipment Manufacturing in the US
Over the five years to 2018, the Air Purification Equipment Manufacturing industry experienced several years of uneven sales growth. Demand for industry products is largely dependent on industrial production as these industries are the main users of air purification equipment. Over the past five years, industrial production stagnated, with notable downturns in 2015 and 2016. These poor performances were partly due to declines in commodity prices, which resulted in lower production from mining industries. Additionally, in recent years, the appreciating US dollar has caused exports to shrink, hurting overall revenue growth. As a result, industry revenue has grown only minimally during the current period. Over the five years to 2023, however, the industry will experience moderate growth. Growth in demand from the industrial sector will begin to expand over the next five years. Furthermore, industrial production and demand for nonresidential industrial buildings will both rise.
Establishments in this industry primarily manufacture stationary air purification equipment. These devices include industrial dust and fume collection equipment, electrostatic precipitation equipment, warm air furnace filters and air washers among other dust collection equipment.
