C-band tunable laser is a type of laser device that can output light with a wavelength in the C-band range, and can be adjusted continuously.Tunable laser refers to a laser that can continuously change the laser output wavelength within a certain range (see laser). The laser has a wide range of applications in spectroscopy, photochemistry, medicine, biology, integrated optics, pollution monitoring, semiconductor material processing, information processing and communications. There are roughly three principles for achieving laser wavelength tuning. Most tunable lasers use working substances with wide fluorescent lines. Typical lasers belonging to the first tuning mode are dye lasers, chrysoberyl lasers, color center lasers, tunable high-pressure gas lasers and tunable excimer lasers.
