Polarization-maintaining optical fiber isolator is an optical device used to control the transmission direction of optical signals and maintain the polarization state of optical signals in optical fiber communications and optical systems. Polarization-maintaining fiber isolator is mainly composed of polarization-maintaining fiber, polarization beam splitter and magneto-optical crystal. When the optical signal enters the polarization-maintaining fiber isolator from the input end, the optical signal is divided into two optical paths with mutually perpendicular polarization states through the polarization beam splitter. One of the optical paths passes through the magneto-optical crystal, and one-way transmission of optical signals can be achieved based on the magneto-optical effect, while the other optical path is isolated inside the isolator to prevent reverse transmission of optical signals. Finally, the optical signals with the same transmission direction are combined at the output end through a polarization beam splitter. The main function of the polarization-maintaining fiber isolator is to realize one-way transmission of optical signals and maintain the polarization state of the optical signals. It can effectively prevent the reverse transmission of optical signals and the polarization rotation of optical signals, thereby improving the performance and stability of optical fiber communications and optical systems. Polarization-maintaining fiber optic isolators are widely used in fields such as fiber optic communications, fiber optic sensing, optical measurement, and optical imaging.
