Global Photoresist for Electroplating Market 2024 by Manufacturers, Regions, Type and Application, Forecast to 2030

Photoresist is a light-sensitive material used in the process of electroplating to create patterns on metal surfaces. Photoresist is applied to the surface of the metal substrate and then exposed to ultraviolet light through a mask or stencil, causing it to become more or less soluble depending on the intensity and duration of the exposure. The exposed areas are then removed with a developer solution, leaving behind the unexposed photoresist and a pattern on the metal surface.

The pattern created by the photoresist serves as a template for the subsequent electroplating process, where metal ions are attracted to the exposed areas of the substrate and deposited onto it, resulting in the formation of a metallic layer with the desired pattern.

There are different types of photoresist materials available for use in electroplating, including positive and negative photoresists. Positive photoresists become more soluble upon exposure to light, while negative photoresists become less soluble.

According to our (Global Info Research) latest study, the global Photoresist for Electroplating market size was valued at US$ 185 million in 2023 and is forecast to a readjusted size of USD 264 million by 2030 with a CAGR of 5.4% during review period.
