The three-phase AC permanent magnet synchronous motor is a synchronous motor that uses permanent magnets to provide an excitation magnetic field. Its stator generates a rotating magnetic field, and the rotor is made of permanent magnet materials. The advantages of the three-phase AC permanent magnet synchronous motor are simple structure, no need for brushes and collector rings, high efficiency, high power density and high reliability. The working principle of the three-phase AC permanent magnet synchronous motor is: when the three-phase AC current is passed into the three-phase symmetrical winding of the stator, the magnetomotive force generated by the current is synthesized into a rotating magnetomotive force to form a rotating magnetic field. Since the motor's speed is always synchronous, the permanent magnetic field of the rotor and the rotating magnetic field of the stator remain relatively stationary. The two magnetic fields interact to form a composite magnetic field in the air gap between the stator and the rotor, which interacts with the permanent magnetic field of the rotor to produce an electromagnetic torque that promotes or hinders the rotation of the motor. There are two starting methods for three-phase AC permanent magnet synchronous motors: one is to control the motor to achieve synchronization through a variable frequency speed regulator, and the other is to achieve synchronization through asynchronous starting. The frequency converter method controls the magnetic field rotation frequency by controlling the frequency of the input current of the stator winding, thereby controlling the rotation speed. The asynchronous starting method is to install a squirrel winding on the permanent magnet rotor, and use the induced current to generate the rotating magnetic field of the rotor to achieve the functions of starting and damping.
