The non-contact electric pen uses an I-shaped inductor as an antenna, and several three-stage tubes are combined into an amplifier circuit. The non-contact electric pen uses inductive testing without physical contact to check the voltage on control lines, conductors and sockets or to check the location of open circuits along the wires.
