Global Dextrins for Industrial Use Market 2023 by Manufacturers, Regions, Type and Application, Forecast to 2029
According to our (Global Info Research) latest study, the global Dextrins for Industrial Use market size was valued at USD 111.3 million in 2022 and is forecast to a readjusted size of USD 161.5 million by 2029 with a CAGR of 5.5% during review period.
Dextrins for Industrial Use include white dextrin and yellow dextrin.
White Dextrin is used in the Textile with Starch during sizing of yarn or cloth provides increased adhesiveness, reducing cost of sizing and gives a superior feel to the cloth. White dextrins do not react to chemicals and are suitable for their applications in textile industry. White dextrin is soluble in cold water.
Yellow dextrin has low viscosity and is very sticky and hygroscopic in nature. Used in the foundry as a binder for cores. Yellow dextrin helps in increasing dry strength at the same time being completely soluble in water. It is also used in water soluble glues, as a printing thickener and as a binder in paint. Yellow Dextrin are prepared by heat treatment in presence of chemicals to suitably modify characteristics and properties of starch.
Yellow dextrin’s solubility in cold water is more than 99%, and the viscosity is low, which is close to the Newtonian viscosity. It is stable at the concentration of 70%, also has the fluidity, shows a strong viscosity and has the basic properties of binding cellulose raw materials and forming water-soluble film and bonding inorganic materials.
White dextrin is almost white, whose solubility is nearly 90% in cold water, the solution shows non-newtonian viscosity, easy to aging. Usually used to fiber shaping, paper surface sizing and adhesives, water-soluble coatings, various adhesives, etc.
