Active Magnetic Field Canceller used to reduce or eliminate the magnetic field in a specific area. The system uses induction coils and feedback control technology to monitor and combat magnetic fields in the environment in real time, thereby reducing interference to sensitive equipment or experiments.

High-performance electron beam instruments are very sensitive to changes in ambient magnetic fields. These fields move the beam, causing a loss of resolution and measurement accuracy. Magnetic fields that exceed manufacturer's environmental specifications are common and are generated by nearby machinery and equipment as well as external sources. Operation in such areas may result in the instrument not being able to perform to its full potential. The Active Magnetic Field Cancellation System provides an effective solution for suppressing environmental magnetic fields, enabling high-resolution performance in instruments such as TEM, SEM and FEG SEM. The system usually consists of a magnetic field control unit, a magnetic field sensor and three multi-core cables. Cables are installed on the X, Y and Z axes in the room. The sensor measures the strength and phase of the magnetic field in real time. The signal is fed to a control unit where three power amplifiers drive counter-phase currents through multi-core cables to effectively cancel magnetic fields.
