UAE Exploration and Production Report
Summary
United Arab Emirates is among the world’s ten largest producers of crude oil. UAE is the third biggest oil producer in OPEC, after Saudi Arabia and Iraq and one of the world’s top oil exporters. The UAE has played a vital role in the OPEC+ alliance, which includes non-OPEC producers like Russia, to manage supply and stabilize markets since 2016, always adhering to production quotas but often advocating for balanced approaches to reflect its growing capacity.
The UAE continues to implement expansion plans in the upstream sector with a strong emphasis on gas, including unconventional resources that the country aims to accelerate its development to achieve its goal of gas sell-sufficiency by 2030. Additionally, the UAE is working to secure a larger position in the global LNG market, seeking to capitalize on the anticipated growth in global demand for this fuel.
