Financial intermediation, real estate, and business activities contributed 23.2% to the gross value added (GVA) in 2022, followed by mining, manufacturing, and utilities (18.4%) and transport, storage, and communications (12.2%). Eastern Sweden and Southern Sweden contributed 85% to the country’s GDP in 2021 and comprised 83.2% of Sweden’s population in 2022, according to Eurostat.
