The foodservice profit sector generated revenues of SEK162.9 billion ($15.4 billion) in 2023 and a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.5% during 2018-23. Tourism contributed to the foodservice sector’s expansion. An increase of inbound tourists from 11.9 million in 2022 to 13.5 million in 2023 aided on-premise sales.
FSR was the largest channel in Sweden in 2023, accounting for a 39% share of total sales. Most leading channels recorded growth during 2018-23. However, pub, club & bar, retail, travel, and leisure channels recorded value declines during the period.
During 2023-28, the Swedish profit sector will register a strong value CAGR of 4.9%.
