But the deal value for the TMT sector dropped by 33% compared to 2021, and deal volume dropped by 14%. Most sectors saw a decline in deal activity in 2022 compared to the previous year. 2022 saw 94 mega deals (defined as any deal valued at more than $1 billion) compared to 123 mega deals recorded in 2021.
