Summary
Financial intermediation, real estate, and business activities contributed 22.1% to the gross value added (GVA) in 2024, followed by mining, manufacturing, and utilities activities (18.0%) and wholesale, retail, and hotel activities (17.8%). In nominal terms, the three sectors are expected to grow by 6.3%, 6.0%, and 6.4%, respectively, in 2025.
Zagreb and Split are major regions in Croatia, accounting for approximately 50.2% of the country’s GDP and 42.6% of its population as of 2024, according to GlobalData estimates.
The CROBEX exhibited an upward trend over the past year. As of January 2, 2025, the index stood at 3,191.2, compared to 2,518.7 on January 2, 2024.
