After a surge of 7.9 million SVOD sign ups during 2020, which covered two national Covid-19 lockdown periods and the launch of Disney+, new subscriptions have fallen back to a more normal level.
4G was the leading mobile technology with a 67.0% share of total mobile subscriptions in 2021. However, 4G’s subscription share will decline significantly to 42.9% by 2026, due to rapid 5G subscription growth.
