In April 2022, Chipotle launched a $50 million venture fund called Cultivate Next to accelerate its strategic priorities by making early-stage investments in aligned companies. The venture fund will support Series B stage companies that can potentially fast-track Chipotle’s priorities, which include developing existing technology, advancing its Food With Integrity mission, and enhancing customer experiences.

In 2019, the company piloted a new design concept on Cincinnati, Chicago, Ohio, and Phoenix to better serve off-premise orders. The platforms enable Chipotle to deliver food faster and provide convenience to its customers. Additionally, the company is leveraging the Venmo payment platform to enhance customer engagement and to offer digital cash to its customers.
