The four major cities comprised 40% of the country’s population in 2022 and the highest concentration of economic activities are in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, according to GlobalData’s cities database.
The overall MERV (Argentina Merval Index) exhibited an upward trend over last year. As of January 24, 2022, the index stood at 81,004.4, compared to 250,362.3 on January 24, 2023.
