Frost Radar™: Consumer Identity and Access Management, 2024
A Benchmarking System to Spark Companies to Action - Innovation That Fuels New Deal Flow and Growth Pipelines
Frost & Sullivan defines consumer identity and access management (CIAM) as a framework that controls and manages consumer identities and access as well as policies across IT infrastructures to protect enterprises from unauthorized and potentially harmful security breaches. CIAM solutions include single sign-on, multifactor authentication, identity verification, lifecycle management (provisioning and deprovisioning), password management, and compliance management.
In a business environment where cybersecurity continues to be one of the highest priorities for all enterprises, constant changes in regulations, rules, new threats, and the lack of resources accentuate the challenges. CIAM is no different as enterprise struggle to maintain a robust security profile given high complexity, silos, multiple stakeholders, and lack of compatibility among systems. Devices and non-human identities have proliferated in the CIAM ecosystem, increasing complexity.
Digital consumers demand better experiences and better data protection. Regulators are supporting greater adoption of CIAM with strict stipulations on managing consumer data and privacy. Companies with less-than-adequate security are extremely vulnerable as bad actors use sophisticated technologies and tools to breach corporate networks.
Frost & Sullivan analyzed more than 100 companies in the IAM industry. Twelve were selected for further analysis based on their leadership and other distinctions and were benchmarked across 10 Growth and Innovation criteria. The publication presents competitive profiles of each company on the Frost Radar™ considering their strengths and the opportunities that best fit those strengths. It complements the CIAM Growth Opportunities market report (PF9C).
