The Frost Radar™ of the commercial extended reality (XR) hardware market analyzes vendors offering immersive endpoints, such as augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR), and virtual reality (VR) headsets and glasses that blend the real world and the digital world for multiple commercial purposes, including work communications and collaboration, enterprise training and education, marketing, healthcare, manufacturing, and construction.

This market analysis provides a perspective on key market trends as well as an assessment of 12 growth and innovation leaders in the commercial XR hardware market. The Frost Radar™ plots the selected providers based on 10 growth and innovation criteria, comprising quantitative and qualitative factors.

The inclusion criteria for commercial XR hardware vendors include the following:

• General commercial availability of the solution (no beta solutions)
• Proven track record of applied use cases
• A commercial-first target audience
• If serving both commercial and personal use cases, device has at least 80% commercial deployment
• A minimum requirement of performance and technical capabilities
• Revenues of at least $1 million in CY2022
• Internationally available for purchase
