Automotive Lubricants in Canada by Market, Product and Formulation

Automotive Lubricants in Canada by Market, Product and Formulation

The Canadian auto lubricants market is large and advanced, but this maturity will limit growth going forward. While light vehicles are the leading outlet for automotive lubricants, the market mix in Canada differs somewhat from the global norm because its intensity of off-highway equipment use. Despite having already made strong inroads in Canada, synthetic lubricants will continue to gain share at a quick pace due to the products’ advantages, including improved fuel economy and performance in extreme cold. Bio-based and re-refined lubricants will see their share of the overall market continue to climb due to increasing environmental awareness and growing capacity to manufacture these products in the country. This new study discusses how these factors will impact sales of automotive lubricants in Canada going forward.
