This report forecasts for 2023 and 2027 US veterinary sector revenues in nominal US dollars. Total revenues are segmented by category in terms of: medical veterinary services, pet medications (retail and veterinary sectors), pet food (retail and veterinary sectors), and pet supplements (retail and veterinary sectors).

To illustrate historical trends, total revenues and the various categories are reported for 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022.

Total overall veterinary sector revenues are provided for 2020-2022, with projections for 2023, segmented by: services (veterinary, boarding, grooming, and training), and products (pet medications, prescription and non-prescription, excluding supplements; pet food/treats, prescription and non-prescription; pet supplements; and other).

This report focuses on the veterinary services sector for dogs and cats in the US. Veterinary services for pets/animals other than dogs or cats are outside the scope of this report. Non-medical pet services provided through the veterinary sector are also excluded, though they are discussed in context.
