This report forecasts to 2029 US shed and other residential outdoor storage demand in nominal US dollars at the manufacturer level. Total demand is segmented by product in terms of: outdoor storage sheds; deck boxes, bins, and totes; outdoor shelves; outdoor storage benches and cabinets; and other products such as hanging storage products, pegboard, and other items typically used in sheds.

To illustrate historical trends, total demand is provided in annual series from 2014 to 2024; the various segments are reported at five-year intervals for 2014, 2019, and 2024.

Excluded from the scope of this report are: outdoor structures not specifically designed for consumer residential storage including barns, garages, carports, cabins, and other structures that can be lived in; deck, patio, and other furniture not specifically designed or marketed for storage; and accessories for sheds – such as extensions, foundation kits, shutters – that are considered to be part of shed sales.
