Total demand is segmented by product in terms of: asphaltic and synthetic and other products such as self-adhesive backings, woven scrims, and plastic films or foils. Total demand is also segmented by market as follows: residential and commercial.
To illustrate historical trends, total demand is provided in annual series from 2010 to 2020; and the various segments are reported at five-year intervals for 2010, 2015, and 2020.
This report analyzes the US market for roofing underlayment, defined as the membranes installed on top of a roof deck prior to the installation of roofing to provide additional protection against leaks.
Other roofing accessories, such as flashings, tapes, and coatings, are excluded from the scope of this report, as are such items as roof decks, insulated boards, and roofing boards.
