This report forecasts to 2027 roofing demand in square meters in Europe. Total demand is segmented by product in terms of: tile; bituminous; metal; asphalt shingles; fiber cement; single-ply (plastic and rubber); and small volume roofing materials, such as solar, green (vegetative), and wood shingles/shakes. Total demand is also segmented by market as follows: residential and nonresidential.
To illustrate historical trends, total demand is provided in annual series from 2012 to 2022; and the various segments are reported at five-year intervals for 2012, 2017, and 2022.
Excluded from the scope of this report are such related products as: coatings used as repair and restorative compounds and not used as primary roofing; flashing; mopping asphalts, granules, and ballast used in bituminous roof installations; prefabricated roof trusses and other structural supports; roof decking materials (e.g., plywood and other engineered wood materials, concrete, metal); roofing underlayment; and roof-mount solar panels.
For the purposes of this report, demand for roofing products is measured in terms of total roof area covered, not the total amount of material used.
Key macroeconomic indicators are also provided with quantified trends. Other various topics, including profiles of pertinent leading companies, are covered in this report. A full outline of report items by page is available in the Table of Contents.
