This report forecasts to 2022 and 2026 US restaurants and foodservice revenues in nominal US dollars. Total revenues are segmented by provider in terms of: full-service restaurants, limited-service restaurants, foodservice contractors, snack and beverage bars, drinking places, caterers, buffets and cafeterias, and mobile food services.

To illustrate historical trends, total revenues and the various segments are provided in annual series from 2011 to 2021.

Revenues represent both employer and nonemployer establishments. Mobile food services do not include the revenues of meal delivery services such as Postmates and Uber Eats.

This report includes the results of proprietary national online consumer surveys of US adults (age 18+). These Freedonia Focus Reports National Online Consumer Survey have sample sizes between 1,799 and 2,000, screened for response quality and representative of the US population on the demographic measures of age, gender, geographic region, race/ethnicity, household income, and the presence/absence of children in the household.
