This report forecasts to 2027 US power lawn and garden equipment demand and production in nominal US dollars at the manufacturer level. Total demand is segmented by product in terms of: lawn mowers; turf and grounds mowers; trimmers and edgers; garden tractors and rotary tillers; chainsaws; blowers, vacuums, and sweepers; snow blowers; other types such as hedge trimmers, chippers and shredders, and multi-tools designed for use with attachments; and parts and attachments. Total demand is also segmented by market as follows: consumer and commercial.
To illustrate historical trends, total demand is provided in annual series from 2012 to 2022; production and the various segments are reported at five-year intervals for 2012, 2017, and 2022.
Since most engines for power lawn and garden equipment are used in original equipment manufacturer (OEM) capacities, engines are excluded from the scope of this report (except in the sense that they inherently contribute to the value of the equipment that they power). Unpowered lawn mowers are also excluded from the scope of this report. Also excluded from the scope of this report is machinery used in agricultural applications, as are compact utility equipment (e.g., compact utility loaders and skid steers) and other related products that have a primary purpose in construction markets.
Key macroeconomic indicators are also provided with quantified trends. Other various topics, including profiles of pertinent leading companies, are covered in this report. A full outline of report items by page is available in the Table of Contents.
