This report forecasts to 2029 US pouch demand in nominal US dollars at the manufacturer level. Total demand is segmented by product in terms of: flat and stand-up. Total demand is also segmented by application as follows: savory snacks; candy and confections; baked goods; processed fruits and vegetables; fresh produce; other food and beverages such as such as dairy, sauces and condiments, and prepared foods; medical and pharmaceutical; and other nonfood applications such as pet food, consumer goods, and industrial packaging.
To illustrate historical trends, total demand is provided in annual series from 2019 to 2024; the various segments are reported at five-year intervals for 2019 and 2024.
Excluded from the scope of this report are bags and sacks, reusable pouches, non-packaging pouch applications (e.g., pouches for in-house sterilization of medical and dental instruments), and air cushioning pouch packaging systems. Pouches (bladders) used in bag-in-box packaging systems are included, but other components of BIB packaging – such as boxes and closures – are excluded.
