To illustrate historical trends, total retail sales and the various segments are reported for 2018 and 2022.
This report analyzes the US market for pet cleanup and odor control products sold at retail, including mass-market outlets (supercenters, mass merchandisers, supermarkets, warehouse clubs, drugstores, dollar stores), pet specialty stores (chains and independents), and online. The report focuses on products for dogs and cats.
General cleanup and odor control products that are not marketed as pet-specific are considered only as a point of comparison.
This report does not cover durable cleanup products – such as litter boxes, scoops, and durable dog waste product accessories – as they are included in Packaged Facts' May 2022 report Durable Dog and Cat Pet Care Products in the US.
