This report forecasts to 2026 US low-slope roofing demand in squares (one square equals 100 square feet). Total demand is segmented by market in terms of: office, retail, and lodging; industrial; institutional; transportation and other commercial such as post offices, agriculture facilities, and recreational facilities; multifamily residential; single-family residential; and manufactured housing.
To illustrate historical trends, total demand is provided in annual series from 2011 to 2021; the various segments are reported at five-year intervals for 2011, 2016, and 2021.
Excluded from the scope of this report are related products such as: coatings used as repair and restorative compounds and not used as primary roofing material; flashing; mopping asphalts, granules, and ballast used in bituminous roof installations; roofing underlayment; roof-mounted solar panels; prefabricated roof trusses and other structural supports; roof decking materials (e.g., plywood and other engineered wood materials, concrete, metal); and roofing repair tape.
