This report forecasts to 2027 US lawn mower demand and production in nominal US dollars at the manufacturer level. Total demand is segmented by product in terms of: front-engine riding, rear-engine riding, walk-behind, and robotic. Total demand is also segmented by market as follows: consumer and commercial. Total production is segmented by product: riding, and walk-behind and robotic.
To illustrate historical trends, total demand is provided in annual series from 2012 to 2022; production and the various segments are reported at five-year intervals for 2012, 2017, and 2022.
Lawn mower equipment includes consumer-grade products with internal combustion engines, as well as corded (plug-in) and cordless/battery-powered electric equipment. Excluded are push reel mowers and any other non-powered equipment, as well as commercial turf mowers.
Also excluded from the scope of this report is machinery used in agricultural applications. Compact utility equipment (e.g., compact utility loaders and skid steers) and other related products that have a primary purpose in construction markets are also excluded.
The vast majority of engines for power lawn and garden equipment are used in original equipment manufacturer (OEM) capacities, so engines are excluded from the scope of this report (except in the sense that they do contribute to the value of the equipment that they power).
Key macroeconomic indicators are also provided with quantified trends. Other various topics, including profiles of pertinent leading companies, are covered in this report. A full outline of report items by page is available in the Table of Contents.
