This report forecasts to 2025 US labels demand and shipments in nominal US dollars at the manufacturer level. Total demand is segmented by application method in terms of: pressure sensitive; heat-shrink and stretch sleeves; glue-applied; and other types such as in-mold labels, heat transfer, and wraparound labels.

Total demand is also segmented by market as follows: primary packaging, secondary packaging, industrial, mailing and shipping, decorative, and consumer and institutional.

To illustrate historical trends, total demand is provided in annual series from 2010 to 2020; shipments and the various segments are reported at five-year intervals for 2010, 2015, and 2020.

Excluded from coverage in this report are: adhesive notes (e.g., 3M’s Post-it notes), adhesive-backed envelopes, cloth and woven labels (e.g., garment labels), decorative pressure sensitive tapes, graphic films, electronic article surveillance (EAS) tags (although the labels used in conjunction with EAS tags are covered), label/form combinations, labels printed directly onto containers without the use of an intervening substrate, postage stamps issued by the US Postal Service (however, blank labels for postage meters and online purchases of postage are included), rigid metal labels, tags, and unprinted shrink neckbands
