Disposable Medical Supplies: China

This report forecasts to 2022 disposable medical supplies demand and shipments in nominal US dollars in China. Total demand is segmented by product in terms of: surgical instruments and supplies; diagnostic and laboratory disposables; infusion and hypodermic devices; respiratory devices; dialysis disposables; nonwoven medical disposables; incontinence goods; bandages and wound dressings; sterilization supplies; medical and laboratory gloves; and other products such as patient room supplies, urinary catheters and accessories, and first aid kits.

To illustrate historical trends, total demand is provided in annual series from 2007 to 2017; shipments and the various segments are reported at five-year intervals for 2007, 2012, and 2017.

For the purposes of this report, disposable medical supplies demand is defined as the value of finished products sold by producers at the wholesale level.

For any given historical year, US dollar amounts are obtained from values expressed in applicable local currency. These local currency values are converted to US dollars at the average annual exchange rate for that year. For forecast years, the US dollar amounts assume the same annual exchange rate as that prevailing in 2017.
