Disposable Medical Supplies: Canada
This report forecasts to 2022 Canadian disposable medical supplies demand in nominal US dollars at the wholesale level. Total demand is segmented by product in terms of: surgical instruments and supplies; diagnostic and laboratory disposables; infusion and hypodermic devices; bandages and wound dressings; nonwoven medical disposables; sterilization supplies; respiratory devices; dialysis disposables; incontinence goods; medical and laboratory gloves; and other products such as enema supplies, first aid kits, and medical cotton goods.
To illustrate historical trends, total demand is provided in annual series from 2007 to 2017; the various segments are reported at five-year intervals for 2007, 2012, and 2017.
The terms ""demand"", ""sales"", and ""market"" are defined as domestic shipments, plus imports, minus exports. For the purposes of this report, disposable medical supplies demand is defined as the value of finished products sold by producers at the wholesale level.
For any given historical year, US dollar amounts are obtained from values expressed in applicable local currency. These local currency values are converted to US dollars at the average annual exchange rate for that year. For forecast years, the US dollar amounts assume the same annual exchange rate as that prevailing in 2017.
