Consumer Water Treatment: United States
This report forecasts to 2024 US consumer water treatment demand in nominal US dollars at the manufacturer level. Total demand is segmented by product in terms of: conventional filtration systems; ion exchange systems; membrane systems (reverse osmosis and ultrafiltration; distillation systems; niche systems such ultraviolet, ozone, and deionization; and consumables (replacement filters and membranes, and salt).
Consumer water treatment system demand is segmented by type as follows: whole-house and point-of-use.
To illustrate historical trends, total system demand is provided in annual series from 2009 to 2019; total consumer water treatment demand and the various segments are reported at five-year intervals for 2009, 2014, and 2019.
Refrigerator water filters and pitchers are excluded because these systems are originally sold to equipment manufacturers and only the replacement units are sold to consumers.
