Commercial Insulation: United States
This report forecasts to 2025 US commercial insulation demand in nominal US dollars at the manufacturer level and in square feet R-1. Total demand is segmented by material in terms of: foamed plastics; fiberglass; mineral wool; reflective insulation and radiant barriers; cellulose; and other materials such as vacuum insulated panels, vermiculite, and perlite. Total demand is also segmented by building type as follows: institutional; retail and lodging; office; industrial; and other buildings such as airport and bus terminals, recreational buildings, and police stations.
To illustrate historical trends, total demand in value terms is provided in annual series from 2010 to 2020; total demand in square feet R-1 and the various segments are reported at five-year intervals for 2010, 2015, and 2020.
Both thermal and acoustic insulation are included in the scope of this report. Granulated mineral wool used in ceiling tiles is not included in the scope of this report.
