E-Bikes: Europe

This report forecasts to 2027 e-bike demand in units in Europe. Total demand is segmented by region and country in terms of: Western Europe (Germany, France, Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Spain, and Other Western Europe) and Eastern Europe.

To illustrate historical trends, total demand is provided in annual series from 2012 to 2022; the various segments are reported at five-year intervals for 2012, 2017, and 2022.

An e-bike is defined as a conventional bicycle featuring pedals and an integrated electric motor, both of which can be used to propel the rider. Typically, e-bikes are powered by rechargeable lithium ion batteries. Excluded from this report are electric mopeds, scooters, and motorcycles.
