Vodka & Gin Market Research Reports & Industry Analysis

Vodka is a distilled alcoholic beverage that is mainly composed of water and ethanol; the alcohol part comes usually from fermented grains or potatoes.

Gin is a spirit that is created by using juniper berries. There are three different production methods: pot distilled gin, column distilled gin, and compound gin.

Many companies have seen vodka as an easy industry to get into. The production process is considered relatively easy and straight forward, and there are plenty of resources to make the drink. Although the drink has been popular in Eastern Europe and Russia for centuries, the recent boom of the alcoholic cocktail scene in the United States has created a high demand for the drink. To keep up with local demand, the United States has also developed their own grape-based vodka. This has changed manufacturing legislation in Europe.

Gin is an alcoholic beverage that is almost never drank on its own. It is made specifically for cocktails. With this in mind, gin has also experienced a growth in demand because of the growing cocktail scene in the United States. Gin has little standards on how to make it, and therefore cheap varieties exist in grocery stores.
