Tea in Indonesia
Total volume sales of tea have improved slightly in 2021. In the previous year, both the foodservice and retail channels saw volume sales decline. Foodservice witnessed a particularly marked fall in tea volume sales as a result of outlet closures and restrictions on dine-in services as part of measures aimed at curbing the spread of COVID-19. In addition, the closure of some offices had a slightly adverse effect on institutional sales, because tea is commonly used during meetings.
