An electrical impulse is generated in the human heart to maintain proper pumping of blood from the heart to the body cells. This electrical impulse can be measured to detect if there is any disruption of blood flow inside the human body. Cardiology electrodes are conductive pads that are attached to the body to receive electrical signals from the heart. These electrodes pads are sticker-like and are usually placed on limbs and chest to monitor heart activity. ECG machine detects, analyzes, amplifies, and presents the signals generated by two or more electrodes into a readable format. The graphical representation of electrical signals generated by several electrodes is known as electrocardiogram (ECG) lead and the procedure of generating an electrocardiogram is known as electrocardiography. One of the most commonly used electrocardiograph for diagnosis of such cardiac events is the 12-lead ECG which comprises of 10 electrodes and provides sensitivity and feasibility. Rapid research in the field of cardiology has led to several opportunities for development of newer technologies for improvement of cardiology electrodes for diagnosis of cardiovascular conditions.
Market Dynamics
Increasing adoption of inorganic strategies by key players in market such as acquisitions is expected to drive market growth over the forecast period. For instance, In June 2018, Nissha Co., Ltd., a medical device company, announced the acquisition of Sequel Special Products, LLC, a company engaged in the contract manufacturing of medical devices, and its affiliated company RSS Design, LLC, which is engaged in the development and design of medical devices
