Handheld thermal imager are handheld and portable electronic devices with an integrated visual display, designed for detecting heat energy. A thermal imaging system captures infrared radiation emitted by the object and creates an image of the object. The lens of the thermal imagers focuses the infrared energy onto a set of detectors to create a detailed pattern called thermogram. The thermogram is subsequently converted to electrical signals to create a thermal image, which can be seen and interpreted.
