Summary


Acrylamide (cas79-06-1) is a clear, colorless crystal, odorless and toxic. Its relative density is 1.122 and its melting point is 84 ~ 85℃. Soluble in water, ethanol, slightly soluble in benzene, toluene. Easy sublimation, easy polymerization. Solids are stable at room temperature and can fuse violently when melted. It is prepared by hydrolyzing acrylonitrile with sulfuric acid or with a metal catalyst. Its polymer or copolymer is used as chemical grouting material; Making photosensitive resin plates in the printing industry; Oil industry can be used as viscosity enhancer; Glass fiber can be used as wetting agent in industry. It is also used as soil improver, flocculant, fiber modifier and coating.
